My journey into the field of [Dis]order started in 2008 when I took a year to explore the world in the Netherlands. It was during this year that my interest in Criminal Behaviour and Psychology emerged. In 2009, I started my academic path with a B.A. Psychology at UNISA, with the addition of Criminology. In 2012, I continued with my B.A. Hon Psychology (UNISA).
In the end of 2011, my career in [Dis]order started to take shape, with the FET training in Corrections. It was within the Correctional Service environment where my passion for understanding [Dis]order took shape. In 2014, I continued my academic journey into the field with the start of my B.A. Hon Criminology (UNISA). It was in 2014 that I started questioning the rigid blocks that we use to create and destroy [Dis]order. I did not complete my Honours at UNISA, my mind understood a more fluid world. [Dis]order is not fixed to a visible field of science but an expression of individuals for/against a society. With many truths and lies. In the end of 2014, I got accepted at the University of Cape Town for a Master Programme in Criminology, the Law, and Society. It is here that my understanding for [Dis]order took shape. My career in Corrections continued, it took many shapes from 2011 from administrative to physical security, to correctional rehabilitation. In 2015, I made the move to Cape Town to further both my academic and career path in [Dis]order. It is here in my second year of Masters that you find the Start of Corpus Crimen. A consultancy made to address the need for a corporate, public and private understanding of the world and the [Dis]order that occurs within these spaces. A consultancy that seeks to question the blocks of our society and ask who made them? Who uses them? Why are we still using these blocks? Are these blocks the only way? Or should we create new tools to understanding our society and the rules that seem to govern them?
In the Middle of 2017 (July) I graduated from UCT with an MPhil Criminology, law and society, my research field specialised in Correctional centre violence. The study aimed to explore the blocks that construct correctional centre violence in specific to offender on offender assaults. see abstract. As my studies neared it's end, I realised that the next league in my journey is only beginning. After graduation I relocated to Pretoria, where I still work for Correctional Services
